DEYE is the retail arm of Ningbo Deye Technology, a Shanghai-listed hardware maker selling solar and storage kit directly to homeowners in the EU, Australia and New Zealand. Nobody on the editorial team has installed a DEYE system, so this is not a verdict on how the gear performs on a roof — it is a map of the published prices, conditions and gaps.
What DEYE sells and who it is for
Ningbo Deye Technology was founded in 2000 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in April 2021 under ticker 605117.SH, and its products reach more than 140 countries. The direct store is narrower and better defined: 27 EU countries served from a warehouse in Sinzig, Germany, plus Australia through New South Wales and New Zealand through Auckland.
It fits a homeowner or small installer who wants grid-code paperwork for the local market and is willing to pick components. The store sells boxes, not labour — installation is explicitly not included on the heat pumps.
The real decision axes
For micro-inverters you choose by output and warranty tier: the 800W SUN-M80G4 and 1000W SUN-M100G4 are published with a 15-year manufacturer warranty, the 1600W SUN-M160G4 and 2000W SUN-M200G4 at 10 years.
For balcony storage the choice is the complete SUN-BK kit with its 2.56kWh LiFePO4 pack, or expansion packs bought on their own, with the system expandable to 102.4kWh across up to 40 AE-F2.56 packs per vertical stack. For EV charging the split is phases: SUN-EVSE11K01 covers 11kW three-phase and 3.7kW single-phase, while SUN-EVSE22K01 is 22kW three-phase.
Published specs and prices
The micro-inverters are rated IP67, and the SUN-M80G4, SUN-M100G4 and SUN-M160G4 are published at 96.5% peak efficiency. The SUN-M100G4 lists two independent MPPT channels and the two larger units list four, which matters if your panels face different directions. Prices exclude VAT: €102 for the 800W SUN-M80G4, €124 for the SUN-M100G4, €175.60 on sale from €245 for the SUN-M160G4, and €207 on sale from €265 for the SUN-M200G4 — €58 off on that last one (265 − 207).
The balcony battery is rated for 6,000+ cycles at 70% capacity, 51.2V, with 2,500W maximum AC output. The SUN-BK250 balcony kit is €1,240 on sale from €1,340 and the AE-F2.56 expansion pack is €750 from €799.
The SUN-EVSE11K01 wallbox is IP66 and certified to EN IEC 61851-1:2019 alongside CE and RoHS 2.0, at €320 from €429; the 22kW SUN-EVSE22K01 appears at €385 on the collections page, though its own product page did not load during research. The DAWG1-ACDC R290 heat pump comes in 10, 12 and 16kW variants with COP from 4.8 (A7/W35) down to 3.05 (A7/W55), at €3,199 from €3,499.
Shipping and returns, as the brand prints them
Shipping is one of the better-documented parts of the site. Processing is quoted at 1–3 business days, then 3–7 business days for standard accessories, 5–7 for larger inverters and 5–14 for dangerous goods such as batteries, where dangerous-goods freight may be added. Remote areas add 2–3 days. One hard rule: once an order has started shipping the delivery address cannot be changed, and cancelling within the first 120 minutes is the only route to reordering with a corrected address.
Returns run on a 14-day withdrawal window from receipt for EU and Australian customers, and pre-orders can be cancelled any time before shipment for a full refund. Goods must come back unused, undamaged and in original packaging with accessories, within 14 days of the withdrawal notice. Change-of-mind returns carry depreciation deductions: up to 15% for powered-on or installed goods, up to 20% for physical damage, up to 15% for missing manuals or accessories and up to 20% for unauthorised modification. The customer pays return freight on a change of mind; DEYE covers it when the item is defective or wrongly shipped. Refunds are processed within 48 hours of approval and completed within 14 days to the original payment method.
Warranty tiers, and where DEYE prints two numbers
The headline figures are long: five years on the SUN-EVSE11K01 wallbox, and "Unit 3 years, Compressor 5 years" on the DAWG1-ACDC heat pump. On two product families, though, the brand publishes two values and never reconciles them.
Micro-inverter warranty is printed as 15 years on the SUN-M80G4 and SUN-M100G4 pages and as 10 years on the SUN-M160G4 and SUN-M200G4 pages, with no page explaining why a larger unit in the same family gets less. Battery warranty is printed as "up to 10 years" for the SUN-BK pack and "up to 5 years" for the AE-F2.56 expansion pack, the same LiFePO4 chemistry stacking into the same system. Dispatch speed is a third case: "Ships within 1 business day" on the homepage against 1–3 business days on the shipping policy.
A fourth gap is structural. The terms of service name Cuiji Global Tech Limited of Hong Kong as the platform operator, while the About page attributes the warehouse and operations to Ningbo Deye Technology, and the store does not print which entity is the counterparty in a warranty dispute. Each of these is worth putting to DEYE in writing before paying.
What DEYE does not publish
DEYE does not publish a catalogue-wide free-shipping threshold, so freight on most orders only becomes visible in the cart. It does not publish per-country VAT rates, per-category freight charges in EUR, or the size of the dangerous-goods surcharge on battery shipments beyond saying it may apply. It does not publish warranty exclusions or a claim turnaround time, and gives only an email address (OnlineshopService@deye.com.cn) for claims. It does not maintain a public coupon or terms page, so minimum carts and stacking rules for its promotions are unstated. Official TUV certification does not appear on the EU product pages, which print CE and "VDE Certified Safety" instead. The SUN-EVSE22K01 has no accessible spec sheet, the R32 heat pump variants have no public price, and the policy pages do not say who covers the cost if an installer finds a heat pump defective on install day.
What independent reviewers add
According to SolarQuotes Australia, where reviewer Michael Bloch aggregates 52 user reviews, DEYE inverters score 4.8 out of 5. SolarQuotes also prints the Australian warranty as 10 years — a different market and hardware tier from the 15 years on the smaller EU micro-inverters, but a buyer comparing countries should know the gap exists. SolarQuotes describes the app interface as "clunky and overly convoluted" and reports the Co-Pilot automation feature as unstable, with support speed receiving "mixed feedback."
According to Trustpilot, deyestore.com sits at 3.7 out of 5 across 10 reviews, 60% five-star and 20% one-star; praise goes to fast dispatch from Germany, complaints to missing connecting cables and units that did not work on arrival. None of these third-party figures fill the gaps above.
Check before you pay
- Prices on the EU store exclude VAT and the brand publishes no per-country rate table, so read the final figure in your own cart before you pay.
- There is no published store-wide free-shipping threshold; "Free shipping across the EU" appears on the AE-F2.56 page, not as a catalogue rule.
- Battery and storage orders can carry a dangerous-goods freight charge that the policy says may apply without naming an amount.
- Return freight is yours on a change of mind, and the depreciation schedule runs up to 20%.
- The "Festival of Energy Savings" promotion ran 9–25 October 2026 starting at €10 off orders of €199 or more; higher tiers, exclusions and stacking rules were never printed.
Who should skip DEYE
Skip DEYE if you want one supplier accountable for a complete installed system, because the store sells boxes and the heat pump pages state installation is not included. Skip it if you need to edit a delivery address after dispatch, which the shipping policy rules out. Skip it if change-of-mind flexibility matters, since deductions can take up to 20% off a refund. Skip it if your paperwork must name TUV, because the EU pages print CE and VDE instead. And skip it if you want one warranty length across a stack: a kit mixing a 10-year SUN-BK pack with 5-year AE-F2.56 packs leaves the expansion packs uncovered first.
Using the DEYE link
There is no DEYE discount code on our page to paste. The brand runs event-based promotions on its own homepage and keeps no coupon page, and the one brand-adjacent code circulating online comes from a third-party listing rather than from DEYE, so we do not list it. Nobody here has put a DEYE code through a live checkout. To check a warranty figure yourself, read DEYE's own returns and refund policy and open the two micro-inverter pages side by side so the tier matches the model you want. The deals we have on file sit on our DEYE store page — and the listed price is VAT-exclusive, so the cart total lands higher by your local rate.
