How We Test Coupon Codes

Last updated: October 2026. Most coupon sites say their codes are "verified daily" without saying what that means. Here is exactly what we do, so you can judge it for yourself.

Step 1 — We take the offer from the brand, not from a scraper

Every code and deal on this site comes from the store's own affiliate program or its own published pages. We do not scrape other coupon sites, and we do not republish codes we cannot trace to a source. That is why we cover a short list of stores rather than thousands.

Step 2 — We put the code in a real cart

Before a code gets the Verified badge, a person adds a qualifying product to the store's cart, goes to checkout, pastes the code, and checks that the total actually drops. If it doesn't apply, we find out why — a minimum spend, an excluded brand, a region limit — and either write that condition on the card or drop the offer.

Step 3 — The conditions go on the card

If an offer only works over a certain spend, or only on some brands, that line sits on the coupon card itself rather than in the small print. You should be able to tell whether a code applies to you before you click anything.

What the Verified badge means — and what it doesn't

Verified means a person ran that specific code through a real checkout and saw the discount apply. It is not a promise the store will keep the offer alive: a brand can cancel a code the day after we test it. When an offer is listed from the brand's published terms but has not yet been through a cart, it carries no badge. We would rather show you an unbadged offer than a badge we did not earn.

How our reviews are written

Reviews are built from what the brand publishes on its own site — capacities, sizes, shipping thresholds, return windows, warranty length. Where a brand does not publish something, we write that it is not published rather than filling the gap with a guess. If you find a figure on one of our pages that the brand does not state anywhere, tell us and we will correct or remove it.

When something is wrong

Found a dead code? Email hello@stackwellpick.com with the store and the code. We re-test it and either fix the conditions or delete it. Dead codes earn us nothing, so there is no reason for us to leave one up.
