This is a buying guide, not a review — nobody on our team has used an AYANEO handheld in person. Everything below is pulled from AYANEO's own published terms and from third-party coverage, which we name as we go. If something sounds like a verdict about build quality or how the games feel in hand, assume it is a quote from a source we can point at.
Who AYANEO is and what it sells
AYANEO is operated by ANYUN INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY (HONG KONG) CO., LTD, with a registered address at Room UB38 UB/F, Eton Tower, 8 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The company sells directly through shop.ayaneo.com. There are no listed brick-and-mortar stores. Support goes through store@ayaneo.com.
The catalogue breaks into four groups: Windows gaming handhelds, Android gaming handhelds, mini PCs, and accessories. If you are shopping for a Steam Deck competitor, you are looking at the Windows handheld shelf. If you want something that runs Android emulators and streams, you are on the Pocket shelf. The mini PCs are a separate line that does not involve handheld controls at all.
The Windows handheld shelf is almost empty right now
This is the most important thing a shopper should know before clicking around. On the day we checked shop.ayaneo.com, nearly every Windows handheld listing read Sold Out across all variants. The AYANEO 3 (both the AMD 8840U build from $899 and the AMD AI 9 HX370 build from $1,499), the AYANEO 2S from $1,139, the Flip KB on sale at $839, the Flip 1S DS from $1,499, the Flip 1S KB from $1,479, and the NEXT 2 from $2,999 — all showed as out of stock.
The one Windows handheld you can still check out with is the KONKR FIT. AYANEO publishes list prices of $1,299–$1,699 with a sale range of $999–$1,299 depending on the configuration (HX370 vs HX470, 16GB vs 32GB). At the time of checking, only one variant was still available: the HX470 with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, in Dragonveil Gold, at $1,299.
The KONKR FIT price mismatch
AYANEO is not consistent on what the KONKR FIT costs. The shop homepage advertises Save $300 against an implied $1,299 regular price with a sale at $999. The product page lists a regular range of $1,299–$1,699 and a sale range of $999–$1,299 that varies by configuration. AYANEO's own product article says the launch starts at $999. The homepage does not spell out which variant is the one at $999, and we are not going to guess for them. If this matters to your decision, confirm the final price in the cart before paying.
Spec-wise the KONKR FIT page lists a 7-inch OLED at 1920x1080 with 144/120/90/60Hz modes, 800 nits, an 80.85Wh battery, TMR joysticks, and Radeon 890M graphics. That is what the brand says on its own product article.
The AYANEO 3 price mismatch
The AYANEO 3 lineup is listed under two separate product pages at two separate starting prices. The 8840U build starts at $899. The AMD AI 9 HX370 build starts at $1,499. The spec page describes a 7-inch touchscreen in OLED or LCD (OLED is 800 nits, 150% sRGB, 110% DCI-P3, 60/90/120/144Hz; LCD is 500 nits, 100% sRGB, 7ms, 120/60Hz, VRR), RAM/SSD choices from 16GB+512GB up to 64GB+4TB on LPDDR5X at 7500MT/s, a 49Wh battery with 65W PD bypass charging, and a 690g chassis. Every variant on both pages is Sold Out right now.
The Pocket shelf is where things are actually in stock
The Android handheld shelf has a lot more going on. These are the models you can still check out with today, at the prices AYANEO lists:

For the Pocket MICRO 2, Pocket S Mini, Pocket VERT, KONKR Pocket ADVANCE, KONKR Pocket BLOCK, and KONKR Pocket FIT, the Shopify product pages do not include the chip or screen specs as text. If you need to know what processor is inside before buying, ask store@ayaneo.com before placing the order.
Mini PCs and accessories
The AYANEO Retro Mini PC AM01 (5825U) starts at $319 with a Ryzen 7 5825U, up to 64GB DDR4 across two slots, M.2 PCIe 3.0 and a 2.5-inch SATA bay, WiFi 6, and a 486g chassis measuring 132x132x60.5mm. The Mini PC AM03 (i9 12900H) lists at $499+ with a sale at $399+ and supports up to 64GB RAM with PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The AM01S (8745HS) sits at $349+ on sale, and the AM01S (AI 9 HX370) is $639+ on sale. The AM02 (8845HS) at $689 is Sold Out.
Accessories cover the small stuff: HD tempered glass screen protectors $4.00–$15.90, carrying bags $9.90–$49.90, the AYANEO Multi Docking Station at $89, the Hola Fingerprint Reader at $18.90, the AYANEO x NuPhy keyboard at $119, the SHARGE portable power bank at $199, a $20 fast charging cable, and joystick/rocker caps $7.90–$8.90.
Shipping, customs, and delivery times
AYANEO ships through DHL as its only disclosed carrier, with tracking through 17track.net. The shipping policy says "we can ship globally" but does not list a free shipping threshold, country-specific shipping fees, or specific delivery estimates to the US or Canada. Processing takes 1–7 business days before dispatch, and delivery takes 5–20 business days after dispatch. Pre-order items ship 1–20 weeks after the order is placed, and multiple items on the same order may ship separately. Delivery addresses cannot be changed once an order has shipped.
Customs and duty are not included in the price. The FAQ states "customer will be responsible for paying all import duties and taxes," so budget for that on top of the sticker.
Returns and warranty
Returns run on a 7 calendar day window from the day you receive the shipment. If the product has no defect, the buyer pays return shipping and a 2.6% transaction fee if the refund goes back to a credit card. If the product is defective from the factory, AYANEO pays return shipping and refunds in full. Replacements within those 7 days apply when the item was seriously damaged in transit (with proof from the carrier), arrives materially different from the description, or has a performance defect. Returned items must be in transit within 15 calendar days of confirmation, or the request is refused. Refunds are processed in 3–7 business days after warehouse inspection.
The warranty is 1 year from the delivery date, limited to performance defects not caused by the user and subject to confirmation from AYANEO's Technical Testing Center. Consumable accessories — rocker caps, screen protectors, bags and grips — are not covered. The 2026 service plan adds repair-time extensions: repairs under 1 month add 1 month of warranty, repairs over 1 month extend by the repair length rounded up, and repairs stretching past 3 months entitle the user to a new unit (if in stock) or a paid upgrade. Products that fail within 7 days of receipt are swapped for a new unit (if in stock), processed in 7–10 days. You can read AYANEO's warranty policy on its official help wiki.
One wrinkle: the wiki page covering whether self-replacing the SSD or opening the case voids the warranty reads "This topic does not exist yet." The brand publishes a warranty but has not published an answer to a question most handheld buyers ask.
What AYANEO does not publish
Hands down the longest list on this page. All of these are items the brand's own pages leave blank:
- The free shipping threshold, if there is one
- Country-specific shipping fees
- Specific delivery timelines to the US or Canada
- Chip and screen specs as written text on the Pocket MICRO 2, Pocket S Mini, Pocket VERT, KONKR Pocket ADVANCE, KONKR Pocket BLOCK, and KONKR Pocket FIT product pages
- Detailed specs for the AM01S (8745HS) and AM01S (AI 9 HX370) product pages
- Full conditions for the $20 newsletter coupon — minimum order, product exclusions, expiry, pre-order eligibility
- Whether the AYANEO10 code stacks with other codes, applies to sale items, or has a minimum order
- Whether a user-replaced SSD or an opened chassis voids the warranty
- Whether the 1-year warranty applies internationally or is region-limited
AYANEO also contradicts itself on support response time. The public FAQ says "approximately 72 hours." The 2026 service plan says "24–48 business hours." Those are different promises on different pages, and the brand does not reconcile them.
Who should skip AYANEO
Writing in January 2026, Notebookcheck reported a wave of complaints from Indiegogo backers who had waited months for units while the same product was available on AliExpress; AYANEO blamed scalpers and crowdfunding policy, but critics in the same article called it "poor internal management" and described the brand-customer relationship as "a game of promises and apologies." AYANEO's response, as covered by Notebookcheck a week later, was a five-point service improvement plan (24–48 hour responses, defective-unit swaps in 7 days, overseas warehouses in March–April 2026). Those are forward-looking commitments, not confirmed delivery.
If your tolerance for shipment delays is low, if you are not prepared to handle a cross-border RMA to Hong Kong, or if you need a model where every spec is spelled out in writing before you pay, this is probably not the brand for you right now. The Windows handheld shelf being almost entirely Sold Out compounds the problem — if the configuration you want is not the one listed variant of the KONKR FIT, you will be waiting for a restock on a brand that third-party coverage says has a shaky delivery record.
Notebookcheck's own hands-on reviews are more mixed than the service coverage. The December 2024 Flip KB review scored 77/100, praising the 7-inch 120Hz IPS at roughly 720 nits, USB4 and OCuLink connectivity, and Hall sensor joysticks, while flagging a 30W TDP cap on the CPU, warm left-edge temperatures under long sessions, louder fans than rivals at full load, and a small 45Wh battery. According to Notebookcheck's 100-hour Pocket S2 stress test from July 2025, the surface stayed under 45°C on High (not Max) fan, internal temperatures stayed under 75°C with no throttling, and the aluminium shell did not deform; after 100 hours there were small scuffs on the plastic trigger surrounds and a mild creak in one analog stick.
About the coupon codes
AYANEO publishes a $20 coupon for first-time orders in exchange for a newsletter signup. The brand does not publish the conditions — minimum order, excluded products, expiry, or whether it applies to pre-orders.
A public AYANEO10 code for 10% off is circulated by third parties, but AYANEO does not reference it anywhere on shop.ayaneo.com (not on the FAQ, Terms of Service, or blog). Whether it stacks with the $20 newsletter coupon, whether it applies to sale items, and whether it has a minimum order are all unpublished. AYANEO's Terms also state "Prices for our products are subject to change without notice," so a sticker price today is not a guarantee tomorrow.
The code we list on this site is also 10% off. It is not exclusive, and it is not stronger than the public AYANEO10 code — the two land at the same discount. We mention this so no one feels nudged to use ours over the public one. Use whichever applies cleanly at checkout. The one thing we do push is the path: go through our AYANEO store page first so the click is credited correctly, then apply whichever 10% code works for your cart.
As always with AYANEO, confirm the final price and the customs disclaimer before you pay, and keep the shipping and refund policies open in another tab.
