Self-paced online security guard training — new licenses, renewals, and advanced courses approved state by state in the US.
About Defencify Inc.
Defencify Inc. (defencifytraining.com) sells online security guard licensing training that is fully self-paced and state-specific, covering 21 US states including California, Texas, Illinois, and Arizona. The catalogue is organised into five course groups: New Guard License, Renewal Training, Advanced Competencies, Firearm Training, and Harassment Prevention Training. There are also enterprise packages for security companies (Academy Architect, PostReady, and ProficiencyCheck), which are priced by quote only.
Most courses sit between $24.99 and $149.99. The Arizona DPS unarmed eight-hour course is $53.99 for both new licenses and renewals, and Alabama's eight-hour initial or refresher course is $79.99. For California, the BSIS New Guard Card bundle packs the 16-hour mandatory course and 16 hours of electives ($63.99 each, or $127.98 bought separately) into one 32-hour bundle at $98.99 — a saving of $28.99. Shorter options include Harassment Prevention Training at $24.99 and Access Control Fundamentals at $29.99; at the top end, the Advanced Competencies Human Response course is $149.99, Bronze Certification is $99.99, and a Bronze, Silver and Gold bundle is $159.80. Several $108.99 state courses (Minnesota, Utah, and Denver's 16-hour new guard course) were marked sold out when we checked in October 2026.
Everything is digital, so nothing ships. Refunds are available for 7 days from purchase — Defencify states that once 7 days have passed it cannot offer a refund — and go back to the original payment method. Course access runs for one year from the first time you open a course, and certificates can be downloaded or printed from the student dashboard as soon as you finish. Students must be 18 or older and pass their state's background check; Defencify points people with prior convictions to their state agency's rules on disqualifying convictions.
Defencify does not publish a full list of the licensing bodies that approve each course (only "California BSIS" and "Arizona DPS" appear in course names), the prices of its Firearm Training courses, the individual prices of Silver and Gold Certification, whether a course you have already started can still be refunded, the exact terms of its free trial course, or pricing for its enterprise packages. The brand also advertises what it calls a 92% course completion rate and training for over 250 security companies, but those are its own unaudited figures.
How to use this Defencify Inc. deal
- 1. There is no coupon code to paste for Defencify on StackWell Pick. Every listing is a deal link, so you will not see a code field to copy.
- 2. Click Get Deal on the offer you want. A new tab opens on defencifytraining.com with our affiliate link attached, which is how the referral is recorded.
- 3. Check your state before you buy: Defencify sells state-specific courses in 21 US states, and a course only counts toward the license of the state it is written for. Prices are not shown on the homepage — they appear on the collections and product pages.
- 4. Complete checkout as normal. Courses are digital, so nothing ships; access starts from your student dashboard, and your certificate can be downloaded or printed as soon as you complete the course.
Defencify Inc. coupon FAQs
Which states does Defencify cover?
Defencify lists courses for 21 US states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. If your state is not on that list, Defencify does not sell a course for it. Defencify does not publish a full list of the licensing bodies that approve each course — only "California BSIS" and "Arizona DPS" appear in course names.
What is Defencify's refund policy?
The refund window is 7 days from purchase; Defencify states that once 7 days have passed it cannot offer a refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method, and the brand asks you to contact admin@defencifytraining.com if a refund is late. Defencify does not state whether a course you have already started or tested still qualifies for a refund.
How long do I keep access to a course, and when do I get my certificate?
Access lasts one year from the first time you open the course. Once you complete it, the certificate can be downloaded or printed straight from the student dashboard.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the site offers a "Try a Course Free" option, linked from the homepage and FAQ, and the Regulatory Intelligence Assistant tool has a 7-day free trial. Defencify does not publish which course the free trial covers or whether it can lead to a certificate.
Does Defencify run coupon codes?
As of October 2026 there is no promotional banner or code on the homepage or FAQ. A 15% partner code appears on the brand's Partners page next to IFPO certification content, but it is not clear whether it applies to Defencify courses, so we have not listed it.
Who is eligible to take the courses?
Students must be 18 or older and pass the background check required by their state. Defencify directs anyone with prior convictions to their state agency's rules on disqualifying convictions before purchasing.
